Goodwill Awarded Three-Year CARF Accreditation
January 18, 2017
Buffalo, NY — CARF International announced that Goodwill Industries of Western New York, Inc. has been accredited for a period of three years. The latest accreditation is the seventh consecutive three-year accreditation that the international accrediting body, CARF, has awarded to Goodwill of Western New York.
This accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a three-year accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process. It has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during an on-site visit its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality.
Thomas Lynch, Goodwill President & CEO noted, “we serve individuals from some of the most vulnerable populations in the community and need to know that the processes we follow to ensure the consistent delivery of high quality services are in place. The peer review conducted by CARF helps to validate that. We’re thrilled to receive the three-year accreditation, CARF’s highest level. It’s a testament to the dedication and professionalism of the people who work at Goodwill.”
