Every day, your donations help people find good jobs. Every 33 seconds of every business day, someone gets a job--and moves toward economic stability--with help from you and Goodwill.
Goodwill welcomes donations of gently used clothing, household goods, furniture, electronics and books. You may bring your donation to one of our attended donation center trailers or store donation centers conveniently located throughout Western New York.
You may receive tax benefits for your donation. Please ask for a receipt when you drop off your items. Approximate values for commonly donated items can be found here:
ITEMS WE CANNOT ACCEPT
Our donation attendants are trained to know what we can and cannot accept. At times, we have to say "no, thank you" because items are hazardous, recalled or not reusable or recyclable. Please check cpsc.gov for product recall information. This list may be changed and/or modified as needed.
- Cribs, car seats and other infant products that do not meet current safety standards
- Light bulbs and ballasts
- Hazardous and flammable chemical products, paints and solvents, batteries
- Weapons and explosives
- Construction materials
- Large appliances
- Mattresses and box springs, bunk beds
- Analog TVs and computer monitors
Goodwill accepts donations of electronics including computers and computer parts, flat screen monitors, printers, video-gaming systems, radios, cell phones, VCR's, DVD players, etc. Non-working electronics are recycled through our recycling partner. Electronic equipment can be dropped off at any of our current donation centers.
