What We Do
Helping people prepare for, find, and keep good jobs is what Goodwill is all about. It’s the motivation behind everything we do.
We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to earn wages and achieve their dreams. Goodwill’s programs and services help job seekers access the training and support they need. We assist people with all types of vocational challenges and barriers to employment.
At Goodwill, we believe that work is the key, essential factor in the ability of people to achieve desirable life outcomes. With it comes independence, pride, self-esteem, and sense of purpose. We give people, "a hand up, not a hand out."
Workforce Programs
Goodwill is a nonprofit provider of education, training, and career services for people with barriers to employment. We are committed to helping people make the transition from unemployment or underemployment to competitive employment. Our broad range of programs and supports serve a diverse set of individual and community needs.
Retail Stores & Donations
We operate conveniently located retail stores and attended donation centers throughout Western New York. Committed to quality and customer satisfaction, our stores are well organized and offer exceptional value on gently used items. We also participate in Goodwill’s national online auction site shopgoodwill.com. Made possible by generous donations from the community, revenues are channeled back into job training and placement programs.
Contract Services
Beyond retail operations, Goodwill operates a successful business-to-business enterprise. Our Contract Services division supports and thrives on contractual partnerships with area businesses and manufacturers. Additionally, Goodwill’s Workforce Development division provides job development, placement and retention services that assist local businesses with their staffing needs.
Our Mission
Goodwill works to enhance the dignity and quality of life of individuals and families by helping them overcome barriers and reach their full potential through learning and the power of work.
Our Vision
Every person has the opportunity to achieve his/her fullest potential and participate in and contribute to all aspects of life.
