I've been an avid thrifter my whole life, but have recently taken up sewing clothes for my family and I out of fully secondhand items. It's so fun knowing that no one will have the same outfits as us- and it's great for the planet too!

Holly Cox owns October House Vintage on Hertel Ave, a vintage clothing and decor shop inspired by her grandmother’s shop October House Antiques, an antique shop that ran for over 50 years! Holly learned to love and admire secondhand goods at such a young age and fell in love with being creative in her attire while saving the planet one garment at a time!

Born and raised in Buffalo, New York, and currently work as both a nanny and a NYS licensed esthetician. I’m passionate about traveling the world, thrifting, cooking & learning new recipes, reading all genres, and spending quality time with my family and friends. I have a deep interest in sustainability and love being part of efforts that help create a cleaner, brighter, and happier world for everyone. She and her family live in a 1902 Colonial Revival home in historic Bowmansville, NY, where her love of vintage and antique decor truly comes to life. As an second-hand shopper, she sources many of her favorite pieces from Goodwill, blending seamlessly into her modern-classic design style. Her work has been featured in Buffalo Spree and Home Publications.

Lydia is the owner of Roaring Spring Home, a vintage home decor & furniture shop in Buffalo. Her love of antiquing and thrifting started when she was a little girl tagging along with her mom. Now, she is teaching her own kiddos the joy of thrifting and shopping secondhand!
