For over 100 years Goodwill of Western New York has been celebrating the fresh starts that can happen when individuals are empowered to work.This year is very different for all of us. We may not be able to
gather to celebrate our milestone anniversary or hold our annual achievement awards event, but we still recognize the remarkable individuals who have traveled unique pathways to success with the help of Goodwill. People like Tracey who escaped a cycle of domestic violence and substance abuse to have a rising career in store management. People like Dan and Armen who had fled their homeland to find a better life for themselves and are now working and continuing their education. Please take a few minutes to read about our workforce programs and the inspirational stories of the individuals who were able to change their lives with the help of Goodwill. We need your support to ensure that we can continue to make stories like these a reality. And it’s never been more important.
Your generosity has both an immediate and lasting impact. Your gift directly assists those in need of a “hand up, not a hand out” in our community. You help fund Goodwill’s workforce development programs that allow people to prepare for, find, and keep jobs in Western New York. Hundreds of Goodwill clients who were jobless have become wage earners, some for the first time in their lives, while many more are closer to achieving their employment goals and enjoying the satisfaction of being able to provide for themselves and their families.
