Goodwill of Western New York teamed up with Buffalo State University and Niagara University to help students move out of their residence halls and campus apartments while also helping the environment and the community.
Goodwill Campus Move-Out provided an easy way for students to “lighten their load” by taking home what they want or need — and donating the rest to support Goodwill's mission of helping people find jobs and build careers so they can change their lives.
The Campus Move-Out initiative builds on several years of success of similar programs at select colleges and universities around the country. The convenience of Campus Move-out is key, both for students and the colleges and universities where they reside, which is one reason it is such a popular program.
Students can do good and feel good, knowing that they are preventing reusable items from ending up in landfills while having a social impact in our community. At Goodwill, we help people prepare for, find, and keep jobs. And it all starts with donations.
